| Naraku
[Onigumo]
He was a notorious bandit in a neighboring
country. Found with burns all over his body and broken legs, Kikyo
saved his life. His evil aura attracted many demons, and his body
was consumed by them. The demons fused, and revived as Naraku.The
scar on Naraku’s back identifies him as Onigumo. It is the
echo of the burns that Onigumo had over his entire body. Kikyo mentions
that the spider-shaped scar persists, and cannot be scraped or burned
away, as long as Onigumo’s obsession with Kikyo remains.

| Kagura
 A
demon alter ego of Naraku, made from his own body after acquiring
the Shikon shards from Kikyo. She also uses sorcery, like the Fuujin
no Mai ("dance of wind blades"), which with a fan can
cut flesh without touching it. She dislikes Naraku, but she cannot
oppose the master who controls her soul.

| Kanna
Like her younger sister Kagura, she is an
alter ego of Naraku. While Kagura manipulates the wind, Kanna manipulates
emptiness, so she carries no detectable demonic aura. She traps
the souls of her opponents in a mirror and controls their psyches.
She also has the power to reflect an attack back on an opponent;
the exception is Kagome's arrow.
